Mike "Chicken Hawk" Toppins
Here's where we brag on "Chicken"!
Mike's been playing all types of music since he first picked up a guitar at the age of 4 1/2 years old! Guess it stuck!
Since then, he has had AWESOME opportunities here in Music City! He played with local musicians for a long time, then landed a gig with Bill Anderson playing steel guitar. Then Bill used him for a sound engineer. Soon after, he started playing with Pam Tillis, and then Sammy Kershaw. Presently, he is still with Pam Tillis and going strong. He also does production and works mainly out of Hilltop Studio's!
In the studio, he has worked with the likes of The Osborne brother's, Jim and Jesse, Mac Wiseman, and many other's in country and bluegrass! EVEN JERRY SPRINGER! Yes..he did a country album! And the music in his movie, Ringmaster.
And lastly, he plays locally with Julie as Baby Chicken and the Pickin' Poultry!
